The second World Online Women’s Teams will be held from 3rd to 5th January 2025. This tournament will provide an opportunity for an international, competitive bridge event without potential limitations of cost or travel. The tournament will be held on RealBridge. This is a transnational event.

WBF Women’s Newsletter September 2024 is published.
General Information:
- Teams will be able to register through the WBF Championship website in due course – the link for registration will be included as soon as it is available.
- The closing date for entries is Saturday 7 December 2024.
- Each captain must ensure that their e-mail address is provided. They should check it regularly for information or queries from the organizers.
- A team can change or add members up to 3 days before the event starts, which is Tuesday 31 December 2024 (subject to them being registered and eligible to play). Partnership changes or added players must use one of the pre-registered systems.
- System cards must be on the official WBF Card, and registered with anna.newton@worldbridgefed.com no later than Wednesday 11 December 2024.
- Minor changes to system cards are allowed up to 20 December 2024.
Scheduling
In advance of the event, and no later than Friday 13 December 2024, each team will supply their exact availability on the playing days. This will constitute a commitment to be able to play at those times. To facilitate scheduling across time zones, teams are asked to supply a total of at least 22 hours of availability.
As soon as possible after this deadline, each team will be assigned to 12 or 13 matches at specified times within the periods that they are available. Where possible these will be grouped into larger sessions of several teams, each playing several matches in succession.
Spectators/Kibitzers
No persons other than the active Players, TDs, and RealBridge support staff will be allowed in the RealBridge session. Captains, coaches, and players waiting to join the next round may join during the break between rounds.
Delayed online kibitzing of all tables will be available, through https://kibitz.realbridge.online. This will be deferred by 60 minutes

Entry Fees:
The Entry Fee is 60 Euro per team.
When paying the entry fee in accordance with the instructions below it is extremely important that you enter the name of your team and, ideally, the name of the person making the transfer so that the payment can be correctly identified. Please also send a copy of the receipt generated by your bank to wbfwomen@worldbridgefed.com for our records. If you change the name of your team, please notify us directly.

Format:
This is a transnational event.
Teams can have up to 8 players. This is a women’s event, and any women players older than 16 may take part. All players must be compliant with the WBF Eligibility Code, including being in good standing with their Federation.
The event will be a partial Round Robin teams, played between Friday 3rd January 2025 and Sunday 5th January 2025.
Each team will play 12 or 13 matches; each match will be 8 boards.
Each match will be allocated 55 minutes, with 10 minutes between matches for teams that are also playing the next match.
Scoring: standard WBF VP scale. The winner will be the team with the most VPs.

Please note, however, that if you are not registered in the WBF Database you also need to complete the WBF Registration Form and send it by email to : communications@worldbridgefed.com so that the details can be imported, together with your photograph, head and shoulders, in focus and good resolution to be used on your badge and published with your playing record on the website.
