Bridge Association Haryana with the Help of Bridge Federation of India (BFI) conducted a Junior coaching camp in Cosmos Public School, Hisar, Haryana from 14th to 16th November, 2024. Around 55 Junior and Sub-Junior participants participated in that camp. On behalf of BFI, a team consisting of Mr. Debasish Ray (Hon. Secretary of BFI), Mr. Suman Sengupta (Treasurer of West Bengal Bridge Association) and Mr. Soumadeep Ghosh (Masterpoint Secretary of BFI) visited the camp. They were greeted by Mr. Dharmendra Ji and Mr. Vinod Kumar Ji on behalf of Bridge Association Haryana (BAH). Their Hospitality is just amazing to describe and BFI is very satisfied with the arrangement.
The three day camp was full of Bridge learning and playing. Where many Novice to Intermediate players participated. The learning graph started from ZERO to make them become an HERO in future and all thanks to Mr. Suman Sengupta, a great teacher and a mentor to the Juniors.
The below topics were mostly discussed in the camp.
- They were taught about the cards and the benefits of playing.
- Types of Bridge Game, why to play Contract Bridge and How it is different.
- Identifying the cards and point system in Contract Bridge.
- What is Trick and how to take a trick?
- Name of the symbols and the Rank.
- What contracts means? Part-Game, Game, Slam, Grand Slam.
This camp mostly covered the basics of the Bridge but a very helpful to grow interest among new joiners.
